I have been preparing expert witness reports for 8 years. I have attended appropriate courses and training including Bond Solon courses. I receive on average, 10 instructions per calendar month. I receive instructions by defendants (20%), pursuers (70%) and medical negligence cases (10%). I work with many major solicitor firms and am familiar with the working of the legal system. My prices are transparent and provide the solicitors with certainty on financial aspect of a case and prior to accepting instructions. My price per report which includes clinical examination of a client is £865.00. Medical negligence cases are priced individually and the costing will be discussed in advance.

I am a senior consultant ophthalmologist and the previous lead clinician for ophthalmology division of NHS Lanarkshire. I am the current lead of Oculoplastic and orbital services in Lanarkshire Health Board (surgery of the eyelids and orbit including facial trauma and reconstruction). I perform and teach complex eye surgery in Hairmyres Hospital, Lanarkshire.

I am an experienced cataract surgeon and has undergone specialist training in refractive surgery. I am particularly interested and experienced in multifocal lens implantation to achieve spectacle independence following cataract surgery.

I have performed over 15,000 refractive procedures including cataract and laser vision correction. I am also a senior lecturer in cataract surgery and laser refractive surgery in Caledonian university, optometry department.

I graduated from University of Glasgow in 1997. I completed my basic and higher surgical training in the West of Scotland Hospitals. The majority of my training was based in the Tennent Institute of Ophthalmology, Gartnavel General Hospital, Glasgow where I also completed 2 further fellowships.

I am an active member of various affiliated bodies and societies such as the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

I have published papers in peer reviewed journals and have been involved in the training and examining of medical students, opticians and ophthalmic trainees.
